A fight is won or lost far away from witnesses—behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road.
— Muhammad Ali

Now that I’ve been boxing for several years, I understand the core truth of these words. In boxing, winning happens in the gym. What unfolds in the ring before the crowd on fight night is just the culmination of all those countless hours in the gym.

I’ve been an athlete my whole life, but discovering this one sport changed me forever. I’ve immersed myself in boxing, and the result is overwhelmingly positive change in my physical and mental fitness, nutrition, sleep, clarity and focus. Quite simply, my day doesn’t feel complete without boxing or training.

Now I want to share my experience with others. To me, boxing isn’t about knocking out your opponent, but rather pushing yourself to the limit and earning all of the benefits that come with it. A great boxing gym offers the structure, support and discipline to enable us to push ourselves further than we thought possible.

This is my goal. This is how I can help others.
